ABOUT US

Our Philosophy On Health

Our gym is more than a means to look better. It’s a path to feeling better, too. After all, we hope to be in our bodies for decades to come so why not design a program that balances our bodies for the long-term? Whether it’s our desire to do the things we love, or to simply avoid injuries, operations, and chronic pain, the solution begins and ends with doing the right things, the right way, and recovering well enough to keep doing them. It’s balanced fitness. For these reasons, our gym emphasizes mobility (moving the right way) and strength. Cardio is still part of the equation, rest assured, but as a supplement. Cardio alone cannot lead to a healthy body. In fact, pure cardio work leads to imbalances that invariably yield to injuries and pain. With strength and mobility at the foundation and cardio supplementing their development, we can bulletproof our bodies against life’s demands. This is not just something we believe; we know it. We have lived it, and we have seen others fail trying to ignore it. Move better, get strong, reclaim your life and feel better doing it. Join us and learn how.

CLIENT REVIEWS

review1-compressor “Hidden Gem! This is easily the best gym that I’ve been to, not only in Houston but in Texas. Having moved around a little bit, it’s been about a year since I’ve settled into Houston, but this gym keeps me coming back. In the past, I had done some one-on-one personal training and paid a lot more, for mediocre results. Every single class here feels like your own personal training session despite the fact that you participate with others; and that isn’t a con either if anything it only helps.”

post2 “I feel I am valued as a client. I feel as if I am challenging myself more physically than I ever have. I have watched my body change and seen the physical and emotional transformations of many other Row members. The classes are 50 minutes long and not a minute is wasted. I leave feeling exhausted but stronger than ever. ”

I got hooked on rowing less than two years ago at Row, but fitness has always been a part of my life. I began gymnastics at a young age, pole vaulted through middle and high school, and I started getting into weight lifting in my early 20’s. I am a NASM certified personal trainer (CPT) and women’s fitness specialist (WFS). I run Very Beautiful Women’s Fitness, and I am passionate about training women at every stage of their lives. Don’t get me wrong though, I love kicking everyone’s butt!! My goal is for you to feel motivated to push yourself during class, and to walk out feeling sweaty, happy, and accomplished!

I have my personal training certification from ACE and I’ve been a group exercise instructor for 11 years! I started out as a member at Row Studios and couldn’t get enough of the classes and Row community. One of the reasons I love Row Studios is that we have a diverse community that embraces all fitness levels. I hope every person that attends my class walks away feeling like they’ve accomplished what they showed up for, regardless of the reason.
